My name is Elena, and I’m the cook, writer, and obsessive food lover behind this website. For years, I was stuck in the same cycle as so many people. I’d read about a new diet, full of rigid rules and ‘tricks’ to fool your body, and I’d give it a go. I’d feel restricted, bored, and frankly, a bit miserable. The joy was gone.

My “lightbulb moment” came during a holiday on a small Greek island. I saw families sharing long, laughing lunches. I tasted tomatoes that were so sweet they were like candy, and fish so fresh it tasted of the sea. They were eating the most delicious food I’d ever had, and yet, they were the picture of health. There were no tricks, no hacks, no guilt—just incredible, fresh ingredients, simply cooked.

I realised then that this was the secret: the Mediterranean lifestyle isn’t a diet; it’s a celebration of real food. I came home, cleared out my cupboards, and started over. This website is the result of that journey.
